The General Authority for Accreditation and Supervision obtained 3-5 training hours for the program, which were granted to doctors who obtained this program, which is considered one of the first training programs to be accredited by the Egyptian Health Council, at the conference held by the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Supervision (titled: The First Phase of Health Insurance Comprehensive - Achievements achieved...and lessons learned).
This was in the presence of Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, Prof. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Maghrawi, and the Head of the Medicines Authority, Major General Dr. Khaled Shukri, Head of Administration. Medical Services in the Armed Forces, Major General Tariq Al-Najdi, President of the Military Medical Academy, Major General Dr. Saeed Al-Najjar, Assistant Minister of Interior, Prof. Ihab Abu Aish, Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Osama Abdel-Hay, Head of the Medical Syndicate, and Prof. Muhammad Mustafa Abdel Ghaffar, Chairman of the Authority. Educational institutes, Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud, head of the Nursing Syndicate and member of the Senate, Dr. Nima Abed, representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt, Ayodeji Ajiboye, international health economist at the World Bank, Dr. Hani Rashed, Vice President of the General Authority for Health Care, Dr. Mai Farid, Executive Director of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, and a large number of leaders from all sectors of health service providers in Egypt.
The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council also participated in handing doctors the certificates for accrediting the program, and Dr. Ihab Kamal gave an explanation of the Council’s role in continuing professional development, which is considered one of the main activities of the Egyptian Health Council, through which the doctor will obtain a renewal of the license to practice the profession through approved hours. Which he will receive every five years.
