prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, participated in the annual Family Medicine Day at the headquarters of the General Syndicate of Physicians in Cairo, in the presence of Professor Dr. Osama Abdel Hay, Head of the Physicians Syndicate, at the invitation of Professor Dr. Wajida Anwar/ Professor of Community, Environmental and Occupational Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University. A group of senior family medicine professors, members of the Egyptian Medical Association, and a group of young doctors and nurses.
His Excellency explained the role of the Egyptian Health Council in the professional development of doctors and nursing staff members who hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing after they graduate and obtain a license to practice the profession and the training they obtain during the internship and post-internship period through the Council’s scientific committees for the examinations for practicing the profession and continuing professional development, which will be approved. A number of credit hours that the graduate will obtain every five years to renew the license to practice the profession. This will contribute to improving the quality of health services provided to citizens. His Excellency opened the discussion to answer all questions in this regard.
